Cyber Wellness

Teens of this generation uses an average of 17.5 hours on the internet. However, only a few really is knowledgeable about cyber wellness.

The national internet Advisory Committee (NIAC) is a committee that strives to establish a greater understanding amongst Singaporeans on the importance of Cyber Wellness and its relevence for a positive online experience, foster a responsible nation of cyber users who take ownership for actions online and nurture and empowered citizens who will make informed media choices in an online environment.

In the 21st century, the internet is a widely used link between people from around the world. People also use the internet to upload files that has a copyright for anyone's download. According to the article form http://www.asiaone.com/print/Digital/News/Story/A1Story20070523-8363.html, 90 percent of people who download files from the internet would not pay for the items downloaded.

This indicateds people, mostly teens, are not well educated about the meaning of Copyright. In my opinion, to prevent illegal downloads, the first step is the stop uploading of files for everyone to use. this way we are focusing on the solution and not the problem.
